he Lights of Christmas had an amazing opening weekend! The holiday spirit is definitely in the air here in the Pacific Northwest. If you have a family with smaller kiddos, The Lights of Christmas is sure to be a hit, but make sure you’re prepared before heading out the door, loading up the car, and heading over to Warm Beach Camp! Here are 5 things to bring along to the Christmas festival if you have kids!
1. Boots
Some of the areas can get a bit muddy. Make sure your kiddos wear boots so their feet stay nice and dry. Boots can also help everyone’s feet stay warm during the cold winter nights.
2. Winter Wear
There are many outdoor activities. Make sure to bring hats, gloves, coats, and scarves so they can stay warm and toasty as they enjoy everything the festival has to offer. If your family needs a place to warm up during your visit, there are many fire pits around the festival, and lots of places to sit down inside.
3. Umbrella
Check the forecast before you come. With that said, rain is always a possibility in Washington. Don’t forget to bring your umbrellas just in case of a surprise drizzle. And don’t worry, there are live entertainment venues inside, so you can always pop on in and listen to music until the rain stops! When it rains, the lights sparkle a little extra. If you don’t want to miss it, make sure to bring an umbrella!
4. Stroller & Blanket
If you’re bringing smaller kids, a stroller is very helpful. There are a limited number of strollers for rent. They are first-come first-serve, so you may want to bring your own just in case. With 15 acres of displays it can be a bit much for early walkers. If you don’t want to end up carrying a toddler for an hour or two, renting a stroller, or bringing a wagon or stroller of your own, is a good idea. Some nights can get quite chilly. Bring a few blankets just in case.
