The Lights of Christmas Reimagined

When the decision was made to adapt the format of The Lights of Christmas to A Drive-Thru Christmas this year due to Covid-19, this posed a big challenge to the decorating team. Not only did the team have to change the location of so many of the classic displays for easy viewing along the Drive-Thru route, they also needed to fill much more space than before due to the longer route. This led to creating dazzling new displays, and reimagining some of the classics that are now a sight to be seen even through a car window!

New displays are always a cause for excitement at The Lights of Christmas! This year be sure to watch for some amazing animated scenes projected onto screens along the second half of the route. They are sure to cause some chuckles and draw the eyes. Also, you won’t want to miss the bright and exciting shooting star display which is new this year. The beauty of the new and improved waterfall display, now incorporating the aurora lights, will not soon be forgotten! Following the waterfall, the laser galaxy lights will bring a sense of wonder into the heart of every person in the car.

Every year The Lights of Christmas team thinks up how to improve existing displays, but this year it was more important than ever to have the classics in the best places to be enjoyed. The salute to the troops area is bigger and better than ever and can be seen in the second half of the drive. The Orca Wild display is in a new spot along with Barkentine Ship, see if you can spot them! The Christmas Reflections ponds have found new homes this year as well! Also, the awe-inspiring mega trees are now a feature in the grand finale of the drive.

Bruce the Spruce the talking Christmas tree will also be making an appearance not only as the host of the event’s radio station, but also will be seen as a 12 foot high projection mapped happy Christmas tree! You can wave to the classic talking tree as you drive by him, and he may even wave back!

New and improved displays are always a cause for excitement here at The Lights of Christmas, and 2020 is no exception! The innovative and creative minds of the team shine bright this year! They are creating something you’re not going to want to miss!

A Drive-Thru Christmas is open select nights from November 27 to December 30, and admission is purchased exclusively online! Limited space is available per hour time slot, so be sure to purchase admission soon! Don’t miss out on the Holiday family fun!
